Global color trend agency Pantone has released its fashion color Trends report for fall/Winter 2020/23 London Fashion Week, revealing the diversity of bold and neutral hues. The report includes 10 popular colours as well as five of the season's key classics, expected to be seen in London designers' new autumn/winter collections.
Emphasising colours from chaos to calm, the 2020/2023 London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter collection incorporates current lifestyle trends: a nature-centred desire for health and a desire for happiness and optimism. This results in a palette full of sharp contrasts that reflect our need for harmony and serenity, as well as our desire for unfettered expression of individuality.
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said: "This strong dichotomy is reflected in our color selection for 2022/2023 autumn and winter, we see the colour of the bold and rough, these colour to make them become exaggerated statements, reflects our hope to embrace life full of vitality, combined with a series of neutral and natural color, reflect a sense of calm and tolerance, Satisfy our need for harmony and peace.

The contrast is evident in Pantone's ten standout colors, "artistic brights" paired directly with more serene hues. Colors like "Lava red" and "Dragon Fire Orange" are described as intense hues, full of energy and excitement. Meanwhile, "Lichen Blue" and "Strawberry Cream" were calmer in this round, providing cool and refreshing colors in a bolder statement.
