1. Biodegradable
PLA fiber has good biodegradability and can be completely decomposed into CO2 and H2O in nature after being discarded. The two things through photosynthesis, then can become lactic acid raw material - starch. If the PLA fibre is buried with other organic waste, it will decompose within a few months and can be completely decomposed into CO2 and H2O.
2. Light, natural mild touch feeling and silky luster
The density of PLA is 1.27g/cm3, which is a light fiber, and it dries quickly when wet with water, without the feeling of being sticky and heavy. PLA's Young's modulus is between polyester and nylon, so it feels harder than nylon and softer than polyester. PLA has a low refractive index and an elegant silky luster.
3. Moisture absorption, quick drying and warmth preservation
PLA fibers have different functions according to different seasons. In winter, the thermal insulation is more than 20% higher than cotton and polyester fiber. In summer, the moisture permeability and water diffusivity are excellent, and the sweat absorption and quick drying can take away the body heat quickly through evaporation.
4. Natural flame retardant, bacteriostatic and weak acid
Due to the properties of PLA, the fiber itself forms a natural and stable antibacterial environment on its surface without processing. The PH value of the surface of PLA fiber is between 6 and 6.5, which is weak acid, and healthy skin is also weak acid, so it has good compatibility with skin.
